Discover Moraira
Nestled between rugged cliffs and turquoise waters on Spain’s northern Costa Blanca, Moraira represents the sophisticated side of Mediterranean living. Often described as the “Saint-Tropez of Spain,” this charming fishing village turned upscale resort maintains an air of understated elegance while offering world-class amenities against a backdrop of natural beauty. With its iconic castle, luxury marina, and pristine beaches, Moraira provides the perfect setting for those seeking refined relaxation and authentic Spanish charm.
Discover Moraira’s Coastal Elegance
The Picturesque Town & Iconic Castle
At the heart of Moraira lies its historic fishing port, where traditional llauts (fishing boats) still moor alongside luxury yachts. The town’s centerpiece is the 18th-century Castillo de Moraira, a fortress built to defend against pirate attacks, now offering panoramic views over the bay. Unlike more developed resorts, Moraira has preserved its village atmosphere with whitewashed houses, flower-filled streets, and a pedestrian-friendly center filled with boutique shops, art galleries, and sophisticated restaurants.
Pristine Beaches & Hidden Coves
Moraira boasts some of the Costa Blanca’s most beautiful beaches, each with its own character:
– Playa del Portet: A sheltered, family friendly crescent of golden sand with calm, shallow waters
– Playa de l’Ampolla: The main town beach with excellent facilities and waterfront dining
– Cala Cap Blanc: A secluded rocky cove perfect for snorkeling and tranquility
– Cala Andragó: A natural, unspoiled beach accessible via scenic coastal path
